Live data (sports)

Live data lets you enable a live sports widget per site: it shows live scores and same-day fixtures across global leagues, aggregated and cached by GOCO, auto-refreshed every 60 seconds so every visitor sees the latest. It’s free, and takes effect without republishing the site.

  • Keeps dynamic content “alive”: 60+ leagues’ live scores + same-day fixtures + NBA / NFL / MLB / NHL; frequent updates help lift search-engine crawl frequency.
  • Non-intrusive: the widget is Shadow-DOM isolated, leaving your template’s design and styles untouched.
  • One-click, reversible: unpublishing cleans up the injection with nothing left behind.
  • Best for: sports info sites, community forums, news aggregators, streaming-related sites.

Supported data kinds: soccer, basketball / NBA, American football / NFL, baseball / MLB, ice hockey / NHL, plus “same-day fixtures (multi-sport)”.

Not every template suits score cards. The list classifies templates into three tiers by structure (hover for a hint):

Tier Meaning
Perfect fit Built for sports / score content — enable directly
Compatible Structurally compatible (news / blog / magazine); preview before enabling
Not suitable Structure doesn’t suit score cards (résumé, single-page landing, docs, product pages)

You can search by domain / title, sort by tier, status or domain, and “hide not-suitable” or “show perfect fit only”.

  1. Go to the console Live data page; it lists all your goco sites with each one’s fit tier. Click “Enable” on a site.

  2. In the settings choose: data kinds (at least one, e.g. soccer / NBA), league filter (optional TheSportsDB idLeague values, comma-separated; blank = no filter), and page scope (URL wildcards the widget injects into; blank uses the defaults: /news/* · /post/* · /posts/* · /blog/* · /). A CSS selector can pin the injection point if needed.

  3. Save, then click “Go live” to push the widget out (no site republish needed). The status moves from “Pushing…” to “Active”.

Click “Unpublish” on the site row or detail; the system cleans the injected component off that site and the status returns to “Unpublished”, ready to re-enable anytime.
